Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of Houston

Hi!  I’m Hunter Joseph …. but I like to go by Hunter cause I play ball just like that superstar Astro player, Hunter Pence!  I’m a 4-year old male, silver schnauzer with natural ears, a docked tail and I weigh about 20 pounds ….. with a few pounds to go as you can see.  The streets weren’t too kind to me.  I was a matted mess when they found me so they had to cut off all my hair.  And I lost a few pounds with no food or care.  I was a bit like Tramp (from Lady and The Tramp) but I never found the Italian restaurant that feeds guys like me spaghetti and meatballs!  If you adopted me, I bet you could help me get to my correct weight!!  Will you?  Now fair is fair and I have some things I can offer to you too - - I’m good on a leash and I’m used to daily walks (my foster parents are great!).  I also love to play with other four-legged friends.  And, I’m not one of those constant talker schnauzers.  I only bark, er talk, when there’s something worth talking about!  I’m also housebroken.  I never want to be back on the streets ….. so I’m very loving and I try my very best to please!  All I need is some return love and a nice bed to sleep in……your bed will do just fine!  So what do you say …. will you take me out to the ballgame?  Ask for me, Hunter!

“You load sixteen tons and what do ya get?  Another day older and deeper in debt.”  My name is Coalton and, legend has it, that I spent my early days in the Tennessee coal mines.  Personally, I think that was all made up just so they could put me together with those lyrics from Tennessee Ernie Ford….those MSRH folks are a hoot!  Well, here’s the straight scoop.  I’m a male, salt & pepper schnauzer with cropped ears and docked tail.  I’m about 2 years old and weigh sixteen pounds (not to be confused with sixteen tons!).  I have a lot of energy as you’d expect.  I’m also crate trained and I get along with medium sized and full sized humans…..I’m not yet sure about those little tots!  I sure do like attention…..it was lonely in those old coal mines.  So if you got time for me, I’ve got some lovin’ for you!!  Ask for me, Coalton, when you fill out your application!
