“But a true diva has dismissed that drama.  A true diva’s heart is open and she’s ready to play by her own rules - rules that are gentle and kind.”  Jenifer Lewis.  Yes, my name is Diva - but I’m a diva only in the most positive aspects of the word!  I’m a female, black Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail.  I’m about four years old and I weigh sixteen pounds.  I’m house trained but I do not like a crate.  I mean really…..a diva in a crate?  Please!  I’m good with other dogs and really enjoy my playtime.  I play tug of war with my four-legged brother and I love to cuddle with my four-legged sister!  I really love my human friends both large and small…..especially men!  I can be on a man’s lap in a jiffy!  And I love children!  I sleep in a human bed or in a dog bed near the human bed.  I’m very laid back…nothing bothers me.  Not the vaccum, or the mixer or the ringing of the door when my suitors call!  I’m obedient and I sit when asked.  Not very diva like, I know!  I love the outdoors and really enjoy my walks.  I’m very good on a leash.  I also love to travel in the car.  I’m super sweet and just love your attention and a pet or two.  I love to cuddle with you on the couch.  Or in the big bed.  Or in the princess quarters.  In fact, speaking of princess, I really like the words of Deborah Cox, “I prefer Princess.  I would love to be known as a diva later on in life when I’ve had far more experiences.”  And experience is just what I’m looking for in your forever home.  Help me become the diva of your household!  Ask for me, Diva, on your MSRH adoption application!  Adoption Fee:  $350

“Just a small town girl, livin’ in a lonely world.  She took the midnight train goin’ anywhere.  Streetlight people, living just to find emotion.  Hiding, somewhere in the night.  Some will win, some will lose;  Some were born to sing the blues.  Oh, the movie never ends, it goes on and on and on and on.”   My name is Lacy.  I’m on a “Journey” and I’m on the road to be one of the winners!  I’m a female, dark salt & pepper Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail.  I’m about two years old and I weigh about fourteen pounds.  I’m crate trained and doggie door trained and house trained too!  My mom says I’m very loving and I’m sweet with other dogs.  I can be very nervous / skittish around new people and I rush to my “safe place” when I’m not real comfortable.  My mom says I’d do best in a home without children - perhaps a couple or a single individual with a laid back lifestyle and plenty of time to help me grow!  I’m a real lap dog and you’ll never get tired of holding me!  I’m waiting for your visit!  Like MSRH always tells me, ‘Don’t Stop Believin’!  Hold on to the feelin’!  I’m holding on….waiting for you!  So fill out that MSRH adoption application and ask for me, Lacey!  Adoption Fee:  $350

Teddy Roosevelt:  “It is not the critic who counts;  not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles.  The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust, sweat and blood….he who spends himself in a worthy cause, who at best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement and, who at worst, if he fails, fails while daring greatly.”  I don’t know about you, but I think the world needs a few Teddy Roosevelts!  My name is Teddy and I’m a black, male Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail.  I’m about eighteen months old and I weigh fifteen pounds.  My foster mom says that I’m just the sweetest dog and that I’ll make a great companion for any home!  I’m perfectly house trained and I know how to use the doggy door.  I’ll go in the crate but I don’t care for it and there’s really no need for it!  I’m super calm and extra obedient!  I just want to serve my master!  During the day I like going on walks (and I’m perfect on my leash!).  And toys - I love my toys!  I also like playing outside with my foster siblings - we love playing tag and sometimes we wrestle to see who gets to sit by mom on the couch!  When it’s time to come in, I like being as close to mom as I can.  We like watching the Dog Whisperer!  My favorite activity though is riding in the car.  Just open the door and call my name and I’ll be in my seat in a jiffy!  At night, sometimes I sleep with mom in the human bed (my favorite) but I also sleep in my dog bed in her room (when my siblings get a turn with mom)!   I’m so calm and laid back that the groomer calls me her favorite client!  My demeanor is perfect for a home with children.  But if you don’t have kids, I’ll come to your place too!  I have a lot of love to share….and I want to share it with you!  I will never be one of those “cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.”  No, I’m going for it all.  I want a forever home - - a loving forever home!  And I won’t quit till I get one!  If you’ve got a hand to pet my back, just ask for me, Teddy, on your MSRH adoption application!  Adoption Fee:  $450

“Still don’t know what I was waitin’ for;  And my time was runnin’ wild.  A million dead end streets;  And every time I thought I’d got it made, it seemed the taste was not so sweet.  So I turned myself to face me.  Ch-ch-ch-Changes!  Turn and face the strange!”  I’m Mitzi and I’m a salt & pepper Schnauzer mix (probably a little Daschund in me!) with a wiry coat, natural ears and a natural tail.  I’m about one-year old and I weigh just eight pounds.  My foster mom says I’m just the sweetest thing - I just want some love!  I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too as long as I’m kept on a routine (I am still a puppy).  I love other dogs and I get along with them very well.  I am also very sweet around children.  I have the slightly shy personality that’s just perfect for being gentle.  I really do like kids!  Mom says I could be the perfect addition to a family with or without another four-legged friend.  So if you’re ready to face some Changes - the good ones - then ask for me, Mitzi, on your MSRH adoption application!  Adoption Fee:  $300

“Bright light, almost blinding;  Black night still there shining.  I can’t stop - keep on climbing - looking for what I knew.  Had a friend, she once told me, ‘You got love, you ain’t lonely’.  Now she’s gone and left me only looking for what I knew.”  I’m Gizmo and I’m a white, male Schnoodle (part Poodle, part Schnauzer) with natural ears and a docked tail.  My hair was a little short for a while as you can see on the right but the Poodle in me is becoming more evident every day as you can see in my latest pictures on the left and in center.   I’m about four years old and I weigh fifteen pounds.  I’m crate trained and house trained with a doggy door.  I’m good with other dogs and I like to run and play!  I could be by myself or I could be a new playmate for any four-legged friend you already have at home!  I have a lot of energy and I’d be best with an active family who can exercise me regularly.  Dog park you say?  Cool!  I once knew what it was like in a loving forever home….and I really am searching for what I knew.  In the “Friends” song by Led Zeppelin, they say:  “I’m telling you now, the greatest thing you ever can do is trade a smile with someone who’s blue”!  It’s very easy….just ask for me, Gizmo, on your MSRH adoption application!  Adoption Fee:  $350.

“We dreamers have our ways of facing rainy days and somehow we survive.   We keep the feelings warm, protect them from the storm, until our time arrives.   Then one day the sun appears, and we come shining through those lonely years!”  There’s going to be no more loneliness in my life!  I’m Valentino and I’m a male, white Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail.  I’m close to three years old and I weigh twelve pounds.  I’m a playboy.  I mean, I am a boy and I like to play with toys!  I’m a little protective of my toys and my food but mom can take things away from me without incident.  I’d probably do best in a home where I’m the only four-legged friend.  Overall, I’m a very sweet guy and I’d make a good pet for some lucky forever home.  I might do OK if there was a submissive female as the second dog….particularly if I go to a home with experienced owners who can teach me right from wrong when protecting my food.  I’ve not been crate trained but I’m very close to having my house training certificate.  I haven’t had an easy life, but I’ve turned myself into a sweetheart - and I need you!  “I made it through the rain;  I kept my point of view.  I made it through the rain and found myself respected by the others who got rained on too.”  I’m with MSRH now and my rainy days are over.  I’m looking for sunshine - in your forever home!  Complete my journey - ask for me, Valentino, on your MSRH adoption application!  Adoption Fee:  $350
