This sweet baby is an owner surrender. She was born on 12/13/05. She has a liver shunt (portal liver shunt) -- which means this did not close at birth and her blood is not filtering thru the liver as it should. She has to be watched closely and her protein intake has to be kept at a minimum. This is the same thing that little Scooby had and we did surgery Jan 2005 on him. He is now a happy healthy boy. We will need to raise about $2500 - $3000 to help this little girl. When we did surgery for Scooby, we got the nuclear portagram donated -- we are going to try to get this again or at least a reduced cost. The surgery was approx $1800. This must be done at Texas A & M.

MSRH has had several minis needing bladder stone removal lately -- we did one surgery on May 25 and have another one on May 30. We have several heartworm positive dogs that have to go thru their treatment. Of late, we have just had alot more medical expense than the norm. If you can donate to help our little ones, it can be done from this site using Paypal or if you want to mail a check, please contact us at: rescue@msrh.org and we will supply the mailing address.

Thanks to all who have supported our efforts and continue to do so.

Here is Eddie Bauer. He is really a sweetheart in every sense of the word. He would rather be on a lap sleeping than doing anything else. Eddie was such a striking young man when Sherry picked him up -- she named him Eddie Bauer -- he was top of the line. He went to the vet and shortly got very sick with high fever. He had to be on IV's more than once -- he was at times force fed. He lost 4 lbs and has now gained back 2 of that. Eddie is a survivor of distemper. He is a little wobbly on his feet, but we hope that he will do much better once he has regained his strength and started using his muscles more.  We figure that altogether his medical bills will be between $800-$1000. Please go to the website and donate to Eddie if you can. If you can't -- that is ok -- just keep our little man in your prayers.

Benson is a very sweet older mini. He is approx 8 yrs young. He just wants to be your buddy and play. Benson has been vetted by MSRH and also taken thru heartworm treatment. Now, Benson needs cataract surgery in his right eye to regain his sight. This surgery (our discounted cost) is approx $1000. Benson appreciates any and all donations.
